It’s been fun over the last few weeks, but i think it is time to see other people. We need to get out more and experience life. I’d like to try a goatee or perhaps, blasphemy i know, clean shaven. I am sorry, but we will meet again, lets give it a year and see what happens. Same place next year?

Goodbye Robin, my riding buddy, my golfing enabler. My friend.

I have shared memories both good and bad, thousands of lamb lunches squashed around your table, freezing cold motorbike rides with the golden oldies – things i can never replace and would never want to have missed. My live would definitely have been emptier without them and without both of you. Robin, i know in heaven you are riding your “pushy” without ever getting a flat tyre. I know you have a fleet of gleaming BSA’s and when you ride them, you are filled with the joy that only the feel of riding a motorbike can give you: the wind in your hair, the throb of the engine and the bugs in your teeth.

My recent Cape Town trip.

The family and I took a trip to the Cape over the easter period, I have not seen my sister in years so we decided to stay with her family. This was also a great opportunity for the cousins to get to know each other.
Kian and Jemma, meet Gaby and Michael. Now go and play. And that was the last we saw of them.

It’s cute, it’s cuddly, it’s a hedgehog!

Ok, so it is not cuddly, but man is it cute.
This little guy was cornered by our Jack Russel last night on the back lawn – i went out with a torch expecting to see him barking at the moon again, then i saw this amazing little guy.
We need to try and find a safer place in the garden for him so the Jack Russel doesn’t harass him all the time.
