I shoot a lot of weddings – it keeps me pretty busy during the year. I don’t only shoot weddings though, I love the process of creating the image and interacting with people and photography is a great way to do it.
My photographic services are pretty varied and I offer the following services:
Wedding photography
That is pretty self explanatory, but few people realize that this is not just shooting happy people tying the knot. It is about tuning into their wavelength and getting them to give you what you need from them. Photographically it is a combination of so many different disciplines. Portraits, photojournalism, boudoir, lifestyle portraits, landscapes, interiors, detail – you really have to be on your toes and not miss a single thing.
Family lifestyle portraits:
This I do in my studio in Midrand or at the family’s home. It is a pretty relaxed session where anything goes. Have fun and relax together as a family and get some great pics out of it.
Maternity and baby photography:
If you are having a baby, perhaps you should think about having a maternity shoot of you, dad and the bump, it can be really cute and when we shoot the little one once he or she has popped out it looks great to frame the two sets of pics together.
Boudoir (for the adventurous ladies):
Which of you girls doesn’t like to dress up in sexy underwear? Get pampered for a few hours by getting your hair and makeup done, wearing super sexy underwear and sipping champagne while I shoot some tastefully naughty pictures for his eyes only. Then get a professionally printed and bound book created – the perfect gift for your man.
You can also get your girlfriends together and make a morning of it.
Corporate PR and events:
These days branding is so important and a lot of companies are looking for good headshots of their staff for websites and company brochures. I bring all my equipment to their offices and shoot the images there so no working hours are lost. It is also a good idea to sometimes link the pictures to the type of work done by the business and we can also shoot detail shots of the business while we are at it for use in brochures and other media.
The events are generally year end gala evenings, company awards and the like, a chance for me to shave and put on a clean shirt :-).
Lifestyle and interiors:
This is a pretty rewarding part of my work, it is definitely slower than a wedding. No stressed family members, just me, the room and the objects inside it. I get to see some great architecture and interior design.
Landscapes, cars, the list goes on.
